I had done a lot of reading & research online, I knew I wanted to do the suspension properly and once. Not bit by bit. I first did a 40mm spacer lift just to get the idea of the cars handling etc. These served me well and did a good few trails with them. It was now time to go to the next level.
The kit I decided to go for was a 100mm / 4″ full kit from a Turkish company called 4xfourt art. One has to import the kit. I opted to go for the higher end Koni shocks over the Monroe shocks and also ordered a custom blue paint job.

Unpacking the kit
Installing the kit
Installing the kit was not done under ideal circumstances. The kit arrived at 3 pm the day before I was leaving for our Baboons pass trip. We immediately went down to the car shop across the road and asked to use their lift and started installing the front.
Car before the lift figuring out how it works new stuff looking awesome Old shock vs new shock Old coil vs new coil old trailing arm vs new Car done with only the front lift. Good comparason between 40mm vs 100mm lift
At 5 PM they politely kicked me out of the shop. at this stage, only the front had been installed, except for 1 bolt that we could not get in. had to stick a screwdriver in there for the short trip.
Bolt that would not go through
Once this was done I was able to drive it to a friend’s house (with a very tall front) where we continued to install the rear of the kit. This took quite some time, at about 2 AM I left with a very lifted car and drove home to pack for the trip.

Hi
How is the ha dling after the lift?
The handling is far superior than I had imagined. I do not feel like it hampers my road driving in any way.
When we are fully loaded on our overlanding trips it handles 1000 times better. Can hit bumps, take on corrugations etc and it just handles it beautifully.
